    Up for auction is this restored vintage
    48" Johnson Level Tool No. 548 Wood & Brass Carpenter's Level - Made in USA
    . The last picture shows the condition it was in before the restoration. It had been left out in harsh weather and the elements did a number on it. Therefore, the current owner had the brass wire brushed and sanded down leaving some of the old patina. The wood was sanded down to its original bare element, then re-sealed and finished with tong oil. The glass tubes and vials are in excellent and perfect working condition. There are no major chips or cracks in the wood.
