An elaborate tribute to New York's historic Woolworth Building, including its conception and funding by Frank. W. Woolworth of the five & ten store fame; the design by Cass Gilbert; the engineering feats; the titans of industry and banking who are the tenants; and even the fire, police, cleaning, maintenance and repair service providers who maintain the building. Illustrations show a wide variety of day and night views, the Empire and Flemish rooms, the award for "Highest and Finest Office Building in the World", and a 1 p. biography of Woolworth. CONDITION: Good text with 4" x 1.5" paper loss on surface of two images, some offsetting on last two pages; Good wrapper with toning and wear at extremities.
