(1837-1913) was a female painter born in Koga (Ibaraki Prefecture). She was the daughter of a high-ranking samurai. She was a highly respected Nanga painter, poet and teacher (at one point, she had nearly 300 students). She lived and worked in Edo (Tokyo) in late 19th century.
