TOKUDA GYOKURYU
(1883-1958) was a Japanese-style painter born in Fukuoka Prefecture. He learned Maruyama-Shijo-school painting under Kawabata Gyokusho (1842-1913) and Murase Gyokuden (1852-1917) in Kyoto. Later, he went to Korea and lived in the Mt. Kumgang and left many works of Mt. Kumgang. When he returned Japan after the war, he transferred the subject to Mt. Fuji.
