Two-color road map,19 x 31 1/2 inches folding as issued to pamphlet, 9 1/2 x 4 inches, index in lower margin, additional two-color map and text on verso. Good condition; a couple of short splits at folds and toning to covers. A particularly interesting and detailed 1920s road map of Long Island (divided into western and eastern ends, split at Port Jefferson) with "concrete roads" and "trunk lines - bituminous macadam" roads differentiated. Some 25 Aviation Fields are listed and marked. Also listed in the index beneath the map are Cemeteries, Cities and Towns, Golf and Country Clubs, Miscellaneous Clubs, Parks, Race Tracks, Yacht Clubs. East of Old Westbury is an enclave of estates of the wealthy, with houses identified by name. On the verso is a time table for Metropolitan Ferry Service and the Long Island Railroad. Item #52498
