Betsy has thick brunette hair, with both barrettes.
Rubber skull cap wig.
Beautiful face color, but there is discoloration on her face and body. It almost looks like someone tried to clean her, but didn't do it completely. There are also other marks, the most noticeable ones are on the face on the left by her eye, on the knee and upper leg on the left, on the upper back, the front of the arm on the left, back of both upper arms, bottom of a foot and the back of the thigh on the left (in the pictures). I tried to get photos to show these issues. No splits on her crotch, sides or shoulders. No splits on the knees, and both knees bend freely. Even with these issues, Betsy still displays nicely.
Betsy's "Holiday" red and green plaid dress has no issues other than the hem in the back is missing a few stitches (about one inch).
The chemise has a one inch area on the back of one leg that needs the lace reattached. That lace is stretched out. as is the elastic in the back of the chemise. Actually, the elastic is missing on about half of the back. The stitching is there, and the fabric is not torn. There are little pink flowers on the chemise, but the one on the top front is faded.
The white Mary Jane shoes look nice, with the knobs intact and there are no splits.
The box is in good shape for its age. The lid has a tear at one corner seam (along the side and and about 1 inch at the top), and one at a corner perforation. There is a 1 1/2 inch scratch on 1 side and a crease on one end. There is a small hole (about 1/8 inch) at one of the top corners. The bottom has no tears or holes, just a couple of crinkles. There is a name written in pencil on the bottom. There is original pink tissue in the box that is discolored.
