Rare car, only 769 convertibles made with a 4-speed! #s match motor and trans, documented with 2 build sheets. It also has rare and very desirable buckets, console, power steering and power disc brakes. These are not common options in a Road Runner, most were stripped down. This one is a very clean, honest car. One of the best driving cars we have, it felt like it is new.
EXTERIOR: Very unique factory Honey Bronze color. The body is arrow straight. There is not any signs of rust or damage, it's smooth even all along the bottom. I believe it's original metal. The metal flake paint is laid out evenly and the clear coat has a smooth glass finish. It has optional red stripe decals and painted on matte black hood stripes. It also has optional fender turn signals that work. In the front bumper, grill and bezels are in excellent condition. The mirrors and door handles are excellent. In back the taillights and bumper are excellent. The door jambs are clean metal, painted real nice. The weather strips are real nice. The convertible power top is like new. It has the correct black Mopar grain. Windshield is crystal clear. The Magnum wheels are very nice, they are mounted on BFG radial redline tires.
INTERIOR: Most Road Runners are bench seats with a column shift automatic. This one has bucket seats with a console and the best part- a 4-speed sticking out of it! Very tidy inside. All the bits and pieces look good, it's unabused. The upholstery, door panels, carpet are in really nice shape. The dash area is not broken, cut or beat up. The instrument panel looks real nice. It has an original Am 8-track radio that plays crystal clear through the factory dual dash speakers. There is a total of six interior lights, they all work including the little one over the ignition. It has a full set of original seat belts. New Road Runner floor mats
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: VIN number matching, original 383 Magnum motor. It also has very desirable power steering and power brake options. The engine compartment is completely honest, proper and exceptionally clean. The motor is all stock- the manifolds, valve covers, restored carb and air cleaner. It is neatly painted Mopar orange. The engine bay is square, clean metal painted nicely. The VIN number on the core support matches the car, the fender tag is attached. It has a Mopar battery, it's bolted down properly and has a disconnect switch. The Road Runner horn works, washer bottle is hooked up, original Mopar radiator, has hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Appears to be all original metal. I did not find any splices in the trunk floor or 1/4 panels. It's nicely painted the body color. Complete with trunk mat, jack and spare. Weatherstrip is excellent.
UNDERSIDE: It looks like it has really dry original metal under the car. The floor pans and frame rails are clean. I don't see any patchwork. It has the factory undercoat that's been prepped and sprayed black. The front end components are clean and proper. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, has a high torque starter. The casting codes are correct and the matching vin is just above the oil pan. The 4-speed trans is also vin # matching to this car.The exhaust system has correct Chrysler mufflers and new tailpipes. It has disc brakes up front, the e-brake is hooked up.
I would say this is one of the best driving cars I've been in. It performs like it is new. Shifts smoothly, rides nice, stops straight, accelerates without a hiccup. It gave me 100% confidence in the car. It felt like a new 1969 Road Runner would have felt like!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

    About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
