    Description

    Vintage 1940 Betty Boop Souvenir Figural 5 & Dime Store Perfume Bottle. It is a souvenir of Marshalltown, IA. This was owned by a collector of salt and pepper shakers. She was used to marking the bottom of those with her name, date and place of purchase. So she did similar on this bottle. It looks as close as I can tell that she marked it 8 40 ( August 1940 ). On the bottom it says " made in USA   U S of A pat app for ". It was wrapped in a paper that reads " Chas. gave me these full of perfume". These being the Betty Boop and the other bottle shown in the last photo. There is a hole in the lid so it could become a pepper shaker. The lid comes off easily. There aren't any chips or cracks. It is as shown in the photos.
