    Dated October 4, 1908. Two-sided panel showing this late addition to the Rock Island system which ran between Des Moines and Mason City, providing a new through route between the Twin Cities and Kansas City, The line was built as the Des Moines Iowa Falls & Northern by 1901 and was renamed the St. Paul & Des Moines RR on July 16, 1908. It was then bought by the St. Paul & Kansas City Short Line RR (a wholly owned RI sub.) on Feb, 18, 1911.
