Description
The Marsh Fork Railway Company was a West Virginia railroad incorporated to build a 100-mile extension of the Tidewater Railway line to the Ohio River at the mouth of the Great Kanawha River. The line was to be about 100 miles long from Surveyor Station, West Virginia on the Deepwater Railway, which was the West Virginia end of the Tidewater Railway. The Tidewater was renamed the Virginian Railway in 1907 and was acquired by the Norfolk & Western Railway in 1959. For auction is an unissued capital stock certificate from the Marsh Fork from the early 1900s.
